What is Rattan, you asked? It is a tropical climbing plant (palm) with thin yet though stern, grown mostly in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, and the Philippines. Rattan makes a very durable materials for handbags and furniture, able to last for decades with careful care. Our rattan is sourced locally in Lombok, Indonesia, an island east of Bali.
